Dollar Tree Used Clothing?
Okay. Usually I’m on the Dollar Tree’s side. But in this case, I am going to have to change teams. I walked into the Dollar Tree, and although I’ve seen this once before and didn’t think much of it, saw a huge rack of OLD USED clothes! The first time I passed by this rack of horror, I thought they were just trying to sell items unclaimed from their lost and found. Boy was I surprised when I mustered up enough courage on my second visit to ask the cashier what exactly these used clothes were doing in Dollar Tree. She told me that they sell used clothes on occasion too. Could’ve fooled me! I’ve never seen used clothing for sale at Dollar Tree until recently. So I very carefully returned to the Dollar Tree again (for the third time) to look at the clothes and they must have been rabbits in a past life or something because they multiplied overnight! There was now another row of clothes…used, unattractive clothes you’d find from the eighties. Many of them had old labels from that era like Gap and others I didn’t recognize at all. The clothes weren’t even in good condition – they were badly worn and tattered in some places. Who would buy this and the question is why is the Dollar Tree selling used clothing along with new products? It kind of disgusts me to be honest with you. I love Dollar Tree’s NEW items but these old clothes have got to go! Save them for places like Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Do they really need to saturate yet another market? Is it just me who feels this way or what? I’d like to know what the general consensus is. Feel free to comment! -DollarStoreFinds.com

Honestly I don’t think used clothing and dollar tree go hand and hand. Besides, they look like these clothes have been sitting in a box for years and now they’re selling them. I agree with you. Maybe I will stop shopping dollartree.

Oh this has been going on for awhile – at least here in UT. Most of the Dollar Tree’s do not sell this – but one of the larger ones (it took over a old Rite Aid store) always carries these. No idea where they came from – but yes, they are usually VERY old and not usually in that great of a condition.

No one is gonna buy this $hit. I would not take any of the clothing if you gave it for me. I have rags at home in better condition. The stuff could have lice and fleas on it. Did someone do dumpster diving or raid a clothing bin in the poorest of neighborhoods? The stuff I have seen has rips and holes and stains. I can get better stuff from my neighbors on the Internet from Freecycle.
